Researching this topic in detail I have found the information in the public domain to be rather contradictory, or at least inconsistent. I was not able to provide a fully coherent picture of this topic. Having said this, I still believe the information I have collected is valuable, and I decided to put up the Guide nevertheless.
The key thing to remember is that many health authorities – notably the UK NHS – recommend not to supplement any of those minerals, as everything should be present in sufficient quantities in the food. I would probably take this as “dont supplement just-in-case, but if you have a good reason to do so, within limits”
